The Globalopen Time 30cm World Time Zone Globe is a thematic educational globe designed around the world’s time zone system — a globe that replaces the standard political country color scheme with a 24-color time zone band scheme showing the geographic extent and UTC offset of each of the world’s primary time zones, making the global time zone system immediately visually comprehensible in a way that flat time zone maps and digital world clocks cannot convey. Each of the 24 primary time zone bands is printed in a distinct color extending from pole to pole along the globe surface, with the UTC offset label — UTC+8, UTC-5, and so on — printed clearly within each band. Time zone boundary deviations — the political adjustments that shift time zone boundaries to follow national or regional boundaries rather than precise longitudinal lines — are shown as the actual political boundary shapes rather than the simplified straight-line approximations used on many time zone maps. Over 80 major world cities are labeled on the globe surface with their UTC offset in parentheses, providing a city-to-offset reference that is quicker to navigate than a list-format reference card. An outer rotating time ring mounted on the meridian ring allows the user to set the current time in one city and read off the corresponding current time in any other city visible on the globe — a physical time zone calculation tool that requires no digital device. All city and country labels are in both English and Vietnamese.
