The Globalopen Smart 30cm Interactive Talking Globe is Globalopen’s most technologically advanced educational product — a 30-centimeter terrestrial globe with an embedded touch-detection layer beneath the cartographic surface that activates audio content through a stylus pen when the user taps a country, city, ocean, or geographical feature. The globe’s interactive layer carries over 5,000 audio content triggers mapped to locations across the globe surface: country triggers play a spoken introduction including country name, capital city, population, official language, and one cultural fact; capital city triggers play pronunciation, coordinates, and a cultural note; ocean triggers play area, average depth, and bordering continent information; mountain and river triggers play height or length and geographic context. All content is available in both English and Vietnamese, selectable through a language button on the base unit. The stylus pen communicates with the globe via a near-field radio frequency system — no Bluetooth pairing or smartphone connection is required, making the globe immediately usable by children and classroom users without device management complexity. The globe is powered by a USB-C rechargeable battery in the base unit, providing approximately 8 hours of active playback per charge. A volume control dial is integrated into the base. The cartographic content is Globalopen’s standard political globe in a 30cm format, updated to 2024 boundaries. The stylus pen is stored in a holder integrated into the base unit. The content library can be updated via USB-C connection to the Globalopen companion app when new cartographic releases are issued.
