The rolling stand has four lockable casters that allow the globe to be moved between classroom positions and locked in place during use, providing the flexibility required in a school environment where furniture must be rearranged for different lesson formats. The stand height adjusts from 900mm to 1100mm using a quick-release pin that allows height setting without tools. The 40cm globe is Globalopen’s most content-rich standard format, carrying over 8,000 place names across all geographic feature categories and printed with both political boundary information and physical terrain shading in Globalopen’s dual-layer process. All labeling is provided in both English and Vietnamese — particularly relevant for Vietnamese school use where students may be developing literacy in both languages simultaneously. The globe surface is coated in a classroom-specification scratch-resistant lacquer that is more durable than the lacquer used on Globalopen’s residential globes, providing resistance to the surface contact that occurs when multiple students point to, trace, and reference the globe surface during active lessons.
