The Globalopen Stellar 30cm Constellation Globe is a celestial globe — a sphere mapping the night sky rather than the Earth’s surface — designed for astronomy enthusiasts, educators, and decorative buyers who want the visual drama of a star map rendered as an illuminated three-dimensional sphere. The 30-centimeter shell maps the complete celestial sphere using the 88 International Astronomical Union constellation boundaries, with individual stars plotted at their correct right ascension and declination coordinates and sized proportionally to represent stellar magnitude — the largest plot symbols indicating first-magnitude stars visible to the naked eye, and progressively smaller symbols representing stars down to magnitude 4.5, the limit of average dark-sky naked-eye visibility.
